  • Gallon water
  • 2 Pounds pumpkin any type of pumpkin with edible skin will work (acorn, squash, zucchini, etc.)
  • ½ Cup doenjang paste
  • 2 vidalia onions large yellow onions will also work
  • 3 Korean peppers
  • 12 Cloves garlic
  • ¼ Cup garlic paste
  • 1 Tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 Brick Dubu crab is a good to add if you like seafood
  • 6 green onions


  • Start cooking your medium grain extra fancy white rice
  • Begin heating water in pot

  • Microwave pumpkin (you can cook it in the pot, but it takes forever)

  • Add doenjang paste and stir

  • Cut onions, garlic, and peppers. Add to pot and stir
  • Add garlic paste and stir

  • Remove the seeds and other inner parts of the pumpkin. Cube the pumpkins and add it to the pot. Bring the stew to a simmer
